est transportation hubs in the Midwest.
It flies more than 37. 5 million people
annually and offers nonstop flights
from locations in the United States,
Canada, Europe, Asia and Mexico.
Motorists will appreciate the
convenient east-to-west interstate
belt of I-494, where visitors will find
Bloomington’s hospitality in the form
of restaurants and hotels. The freeway
also connects drivers to 35W and 35E,
leading to both downtown areas.
No need to worry about parking fees
or timed meters at Mall of America:
There’s more than 20,000 free park-
ing spaces (mostly covered) that
are no more than 300 feet from any
entrance. Parking ramps with new
electronic signage are located on the
east and west sides of the Mall, and
a surface lot can be found at the
North Entrance. Overflow parking
is available north of the Mall across
from Lindau Lane. For stress-free
parking, Mall of America offers
paperless valet service at the North
Valet Lounge. Visitors can also
download the MyPark app (usemyp-
ark.com) and reserve a spot right
next to the main entrance on the
east and west sides of the Mall.
Most Bloomington hotels offer shut-
tles to and from the North Entrance of
the Mall—check with your accommo-
dations for availability and schedule.

On the Metro Blue Line and Green
Line, you have 32 light rail stops to
explore the area. The Blue Line takes
you northbound from Mall of America
in Bloomington through the airport
and to Minneapolis neighborhoods,
whereas the Green Line travels from
Minneapolis to its eastern counterpart, Saint Paul. Both light rails bring
you through downtown Minneapolis,
bookending at our sports complexes,
U.S. Bank Stadium and Target Field.
Fares are $2 to $2.50 depending on
the time of day, and they must be
purchased at Metro Transit stores or
at Metro stops before boarding the
train. Train schedules are available
online and at most stops. Estimate 13
minutes to get from the Mall to the
airport and 30 to reach Minneapolis.
